I grew a stache last year but not going to this year, however I am doing the Mustache Run Half Marathon. I look bad without a stache but even worse with.

The question with prostate cancer is not "if" but "when" you'll get it. Live long enough, you'll probably get it. Luckily, most forms are slow moving and can be dealt with relatively easily.

Which is why I don't worry too much about fundraising, but awareness in November. What paltry few shackles I can raise ain't gonna help much.....but getting my friends and associates to go in and get an exam can save lives.

There is nothing to be embarrassed or shy about in getting examined. It is quick, pretty much painless and only slightly uncomfortable. Accept it and get checked.

My dad beat, but that means that I have been getting checked since I was 40 instead of 50, like most. No biggie.

In part I agree with you. The awareness is important. Even if no money is raised, then that is helpful, and of sporting a mustaches for a month is what I can do to help that, then cumnt me in.

As for the money, again, I see your point - what's a few dollars. But a few dollars raised by a few million = ???

Every little bit helps.

As for me, I don't do any other fundraising throughout the year for anything else. I've never been one for charity runs/rides or other stuff. This is the one thing that I do every year now to do my little bit.

That is an achievement to be proud of.

I was at IMAZ a few years ago, and you could tell that tere were more than a few guys in the race who were in on Movember. Normally, it's a clean shaven crown in triathlon.

I'm in...Actually a couple of friends and I are doing a variation of "No-Shave-November" we call "No-Shave-All-Winter", same awareness initiative except we started on the first day of Fall and go until the last day of winter. Gonna be very interesting by February.
