Magura 8T hydraulic brakes and Di2 shifters
Quote | Reply
I have the Cateye remote button "hack" on my Tri bike so I can shift from the hoods. James Cunnamas bike in Kona has what appears to be a more "robust" setup. Does anyone know what shifters these are?

Are these the R600 climbing shifters?
I'm wondering how to create a similar setup?

I would like these Also. I have the brake shifters on my S5 and just picked up my P5 and I just know I'm going to miss being able to change from the brakes. Not the end of the world but a more substantial solution would be most welcome

most likely just a di2 lever cannibalized cleanly for its parts.

^ Yeah. I think Herbert was looking into posting a more detailed writeup on this once (if) the teardown/assembly process is shared.

To use the stock buttons they must have cut up the entire shifter and brake assembly and cleaned it up enough to bolt it to the Magura housing. I keep hoping the aftermarket will offer the back half of the Di2 bullhorn shifter casing for custom mounting use. K-Edge has done this for the older Di2 button shifters they use with their MTB Di2 offerings.
