MPH gain from disc wheel and aero helmet
Did a 35 miles ride twice, same course, same tri-suit/shoes, tires pumped to same pressure, same aero position, very similar weather (if anything, it was worse on the second ride).

First ride with a 90 carbon rear wheel and semi-aero helmet (Casco speedairo). NP 223W, avg speed 22.2mph
Second ride Zipp Super 9 and Rudy Wing57. NP 228, avg speed 23.4

I'm really surprised by the speed difference, didn't think it will be that much. Thoughts?

My thoughts would be to get the exact data from wunderground.com in regards to the weather (wind, temp, humidity, etc) and play around with it in an aero analyzer.

I'd also look at your power pacing on the course.

Its not unheard of to see speed improvements... but you can actually get to the bottom of this (or atleast have a good guess) with a bit of analysis

I would've thought the Rudy would have been slower.
