Long Run - Time / Distance

Ironman in ~6 weeks-ish

Longest run - 2.5 hours distance 30k

Do I need to go further / longer? I've a half 2 weeks tomorrow which I'm just going to train through, so was thinking another 30k next weekend, then half the weekend after, then one more long run - 2 week decrease, the big day week 3 - or something very close to that

Do I need to do 2 hours 45 / 3? I'm not sure how much more value there is in it as opposed to 3-4 more 2.5 hour runs

I more of a marathoner even though I have my first full Ironman planned for later this year. I see no reason to go more that 2.5 hours for the long run. However, that gets me at least 20 miles during a standalone marathon training cycle.

Never ran more the 2.5 hours before my IM based on stuff I had read. You will be just fine.
