Lonestar Sprint Results Up

Keith put on a wonderful race. Swim was good the bouy's didn't get put out for some reason so short distance sighting wasn't the greatest but long distance we had a giant boat which worked out perfect.

The bike had a heck of a cross wind i could barely go in a straight line with a disc on the back. Traffic control was awesome the whole time. I didn't have to slowdown at any part for traffic.

And run was great through moody gardens can't wait to run tommorows through there again. Definitly awesome enviroment.

Now that was assuming you got done within a hour forty five of the race starting. If you didn't manage that you go hit with a huge down pour. I mean nuts we must have got 2-3 inches of rain in like 30 mins. It was insane.

My friend was 10 steps from the finish when it just let loose. We ran to the transition and got bikes but it didn't matter we were soaked and spent the next 20 mins in the car trying to warm up and dry off before we went to the results and finish tent. it was at least only sprinkling by this point.

Anywas congrats to Will Ronco, who got 2nd overall. I pulled in with a nice 18th.

I know there are more ST's that raced today but not sure who everyone was so sorry about that.

Grant

Congrats will Will who got 2nd in the

I'm in Hawaii getting ready for the big Lavaman relay race tomorrow and then off to Tempe in about a week. Hopefully the rest us of can do as well. You guys and gals have set the bar high.

Good luck tomorrow! Just remember to keep on hammering and then eat about ten Taco Bell tacos and you'll be good to go.

Nicely done, Will. Now the question that remains is: Can you back this up tomorrow? Do you have WHAT IT TAKES?

Nice job on the top 20 placement there as well, Mr Hockey. Any opportunities to use your bunny hop today?

Khai,

Thanks! I will sure try to back it up tomorrow. We've established many times, though, that I do *not* have what it takes. I go hard and then go home. There is no easy day. Maybe if I had a fixed gear, it would be different and I would have what it took.

Grant had a chance to use the bunny hop today on one of the speed bumps near transition. Unfortunately, he caught his back wheel on the top of it and lost a bottle. Tough break!

Haha i wish the speed bumps were more of longer humps so you can just bike right overthem.

Will is right though, i forgot to mention that. At an insection after a downhill i went through it at like 27mph or so and hit a bump and my waterbottle shot off so i had to stop and run back to get that. Kinda shity since i just blew by a guy i think in my age group on the way back in. I caught him before T2, but the time was already lost especially the time i spent trying to get my pedal back in cliped since it had mud on the inside on the cleat.

Oh well it wont happen again tommorow.

Good luck tommorow will and great job today. I might see you on your second lap since i start like and hour after you guys. Anyways talk to you pre-race.
