Living With a Shunt:
Hi all. Have any of you ST'ers had a stunt placed in your head or know someone who has? How has it changed their life, are they able to live an active life, how did surgery go and post surgery. I have been referred from a neurologist to a neurosergian and am trying to inform myself the best I can. Thanks.

I don't know if any neurosurgeons frequent ST, but for what its worth I am a neurologist, and feel free to PM me if you like. Your physicians (especially the neurologist and neurosurgeon) would be the best to ask specific questions about your specific medical issues. A shunt in the brain could be quite a serious thing.
