Thx for the pix.

But...I hate when folks show up for Kona on bling-bling rather than the tried and trusted steed that got them there. Although, Stadler said his bike was trashed in his road rage situation.

IMO, butt ugly.....since he'll be so far out in front of everybody, I guess it doesn't matter!

true.. his brake levers were scratched up and his bar tape was a little busted.. his bike was next to mine getting built.. does look a bit girly.. but if he gets 2 ironman world champs, who cares what people think

Don't get me wrong...Stormin Normm is a true stud. But, he should really stick with black and white as that never goes out of style (and has worked the past 2 years).

I disagree.

Norman is not a "classic" triathlete.
He is the cycle your ass off, rebel against the system, came from behind underdog.

He needs a little bit louder bike to match his style.
Last year his ride was printed on every other page of every tri-mag worth wiping your butt with.
The problem was, the simple black and white bike got lost in the background.

A pro needs to stand out. A few people can pull of the "classic" look, but as a general rule, pro's should be louder and more aggressive in their sense of style.

I thought Stadler sold his winning bike on ebay for charity ? He left that road rage bit out of the auction description !

I'm gonna start designing my obnoxious bike paint job plans for the race after I win Kona.
