Kickr update question
Can someone tell me if you still HAVE to have an iphone/pad to get going with this thing? I was going to get one last year, but I own nada apple so I passed. Now, I have a chance to one at a good price but all the info I'm finding seems pretty old.
Can you do the initial setup without an iphone/pad? If so, how? The site still tells me to "grab my iphone!" Can't do that.
Thanks.

I was never able to get the Andriod app to work with my Samsung S4 even with Wahoo support help.

That being said I have had my Kickr for 6 months now and love it and have no Apple products either. I use it with Trainer road which IMO is a must have with a trainer that has ERG mode. You can set it up and calibrate it with trainer road software and it is pretty easy to use once you figure it all out.

Hmmm. I was excited to hear they got Android working, but maybe not? I have an s4, as well.
ABarnes - If you don't have anything apple, how did you do the initial setup? The way I read it, you need one for that.

I have a Kickr and have used a Samsung S 4 without any problems.

But Trainerroad is the way to go. Dont use my phone with the Kickr at all.
