My swimming briefs wore out and I have been using my regular baggy jogging shorts... I am slower, but anyone know aproximately how much slower per 50 or 100 wearing these things?

1) What were your times in speedos?
2) What are your times now?
Subtract 2 from 1.
Seriously, it depends on how baggy the shorts are....

Well, I don't know for this season b/c where I live, we have a county pool that just opened on Jun 1st and I only had the jogging shorts. I can only do normal swim training from Jun to Sept. here.
I can tell that I'm faster than last summer:
My endurance pace last year was roughly 1:45 with speedo, this year with the jogging trunks, it's around 1:42.
Last year my LT pace was 1:30, this year with the trunks it's around 1:26.
My guestimate is around 5 seconds per 100 slow.
The shorts are 3 year old Nike running shorts, not parachute trunks but they catch some water as they get pulled down my waist on faster sets or push offs from the wall. I just ordered new briefs.
