Anyone remember Cowman from the late 80's IMC races (used to race the run, maybe the bike, too, with cowhorns on his head). He did ok, too, from what I remember. Those would be perfect for him!

Is that a bamboo bike? Are the joints carbon fibre or fibre glass?

I saw him at IMC a number of times. His name was Cowman A-Moo-Ha and I believe he was from Hawaii. And yes, he did ride the bike and run with cowhorns on his head.

My friend has been riding the bamboo road bike for over a year now.(with 10-speed D/A, etc....).. He swears that it rides better than a calfee dragon fly... (in regards to bamboo vs. carbon)



It's crazy to see the looks on peoples faces when he's stopped at a red-light..

I suspect it's a single-speed, not a fixed gear.

he's still around. i saw him in kona last october, and then a the honolulu marathon in dec.. he was also at the start line of the ultraman 2 years ago but had not registered for the race. They asked, but he would not get out of the water, don't know what happened after that.
