Interbike - One Month Away. Who's going?
Interbike is one month away. Who's going?

Hopefully Herbert, or Dan will make this sticky.

The triathlon pavilion at Interbike was a hopping and happening place last year.

I'm looking forward to being back for a couple of days.

I wish there were going to be the super sprint. If there were, I would be there, but I guess Interbike being the same weekend as WTS Chicago kind of takes up all the attention of the HP people at USAT.

I'll be going to race 'Cross Vegas *the USAC 1-3's, not cool enough to do the UCI elite*

It's pretty much closed to general public 'till Friday? I had initially planned on going on Monday and hanging out Tuesday, but sadly must retreat back to the southern New Mexico Desert on Thursday.

I'll also be racing at CrossVegas - sucking at the back of the 1-3's.
Thursday eve should be the Mobile Social down the strip.
After that maybe spectate a little of the alley cat - saw a wicked t-bone crash into a cab last year.
Is there no crit this year?

Friday will be consumer day, and maybe I'll run into some people there.

I was contemplating going this year (for the first time ever). Obviously, though, I'm not involved in the manufacturing/sales/purchase of hard goods in the cycling industry. So, anybody out there want to play host?

Andy,

Perhaps not, but I am guessing there will be 10+ companies their talking about their latest power-meters and related hardware and software!

You are one of the gurus in this area, and your presence would/should be welcome!

My understanding is that while hardware companies are welcome, software companies are not (not that I am really an employee of either). The rationale, apparently, is that software isn't sold in brick-and-mortar stores.

Mandalay Bay indoor show starts Wednesday AM, so you might miss the hoopla.

We are working on that.
But even if there's nothing "official" maybe we should all plan to crash someone else's Beer Thirty on Wednesday afternoon. It's a lot more fun for me if I don't have to "work" and can just drink my free beer and meet up w all my friends!
I do plan to spend some time over at the Hed booth w Annie and the crew.

The 26th consecutive Interbike for De Soto Sport in the house known as the Triathlon Pavilion booth #20239. We will have a small booth only a 10 x 10 this year since this has become more of a social event that one where real business gets done.

I may see if I can make it out Tuesday to the Outdoor Demo days, but I'll be predisposed pretty much all day wednesday. Maybe I'll need to get a part time job in the industry to catch this convention next year.

We'll be there showing off the whole new line of stuff. . .and will have lots of pretty graphs and spinny things.

We'll also be handing out free samples of our new tubeless sealant I am mixing up. It's pink and smells like bubble gum!
Booth number 21247, so right next to the Velosurance guys from post 2

Ian,

Yes - the timing is unfortunate as it does conflict with the ITU WTS Event in Chicago.

The super-sprint race that they had run at Interbike the last couple of years was an outstanding show-case for the sport. Unfortunately, it had not been promoted well and the attendance was not great. A race set up like this, like Cross-Vegas, has great potential, but it needs to be properly promoted. Hopefully it can get back on track for 2016.

I'm taking the red-eye flight back to Toronto on Thursday night as I have Race Announcing work myself on the weekend starting on Friday, then thru the weekend for the Centurion Canada bike race/event - the largest true gran fondo style event in eastern Canada!
