What Cliff did is truly inspirational. I'm sure there are many diabetics out there that are just afraid of steping up and be competitive in triathlons or ironmans. The following article, part of the training with diabetes blog, tells a bit more on Cliff's journey to Kona in terms of how we improved some of the details that were holding him back.

What's even more inspiring and humbling is that you would never know Cliff is managing Type 1 while training or racing. He doesn't use it as a crutch, and never complains! What a concept..
