Brief Treasure Island Sprint race report- Old guys rule!
Going over the results last night it seems the older age groups (male) were the most competitive. You should have seen the duke-out between Brian Fong and Monty in the 45-49 (and they are 48 and 49) to finish 2nd and third overall. I broke the previous course record in the 50-54 by 4+ minutes and finished a distant second to Dean Harper, who was fourth overall, just edging out his 13 year old son (watch for this kid!). And my good buddy, Gregg, came up from San Clemente for his 4th triathlon and kicked ass to win the 55-59 and set a new course record.
And congrats to Cousin Elwood for getting on the podium in the Oly race on Saturday!!!
