Help with naming our dog
Hi Slowtwitch Nation,

My wife and I are getting a new dog in the next week and we cant decide on a name for a dog. We're both wanting to have a name that relates to triathlon (we're pretty serious about the sport). Throw 'em at us...

Currently have 6 year old black lab Bo and 10 month old yellow lab Aero. Always funny when people make the "Bow and Arrow" connection. Surprisingly few do.

What type of dog?

I like Zipp :) Seems like a dog's name and it's rather distinct so it should be easy for the dog to learn.

I wouldn't go with something current but rather would stick with timeless historical names like Dave, Scott, Mark, Allen, Tinley, Molina, Mike, Pigg, etc. OTOH, if you want to be more current, then Andy, Frodo, Sebastian, Lionel, etc, would work. My dog is named Andrew, and is sometimes called Andy, but he is almost 15 so he pre-dates Potts' entry into the pro tri ranks:)

I've always been a fan of the name Spoke for a dog. As in a wheel spoke.
