It has to be one of these, when they finally start making them. Saw it at the show this year. Too nice.

I think it is called the saris unique rack. If you google saris and 35" it will come up. They also make a 48" I believe, but I thought that would be too big for my back.

Congratulations on avoiding a "Keeping up with the joneses" mentality and getting a sensible car =)

All of you with huge ass cars go punch yourself in the nuts for being silly.
Most of the "joneses" I know are switching to cars like the Fit.

Can I punch you in the nuts on general principles? :D

I don't know about stability, but that kills your fuel efficiency. The difference between the fit and cars like the prius or vibe etc is that it is tall enough to fit the bikes on the inside so there is no intereference in the aerodynamics. If you have a prius, you have to get a roof or trunk rack that takes off something 4mpg.

I didn't read all the posts so not sure what direction the thread headed but I bought an 2008 Honda Element. Took one seat out completely so my 58 centimeter goes in standing up with both wheels on. I can also put my wife's 48 cent. in along side with no problem. All rubber interior is great for wet stuff and clean up is easy.
