I think its the headset making noise on my Cannondale SuperSix this time. The BB was fixed, with new bearings about 1,000 miles ago. Noise happens during climbing only when I am in 36/28 or 36/25. The noise sounds more like carbon on carbon and is inconsistent in nature. But I did the classic test of hold front brake and rock the front end back and forth and it is quiet. Is that test 100% accurate?

I think I need to pull apart and re-grease the headset, bearings, etc. Does anyone have advice on what parts to grease? I assume both bearing races and I've even heard of people lightly greasing the headset cap and carbon spacers. Is this the right approach?
