Jorgensen, who became Team USA’s first Olympic triathlon champion last year in Rio, announced the birth of her son on Twitter on Wednesday with the message, “Such a rewarding day! I'm a bit too tired to post photos so you will have to wait to see all the cuteness. Our hearts are full of joy.”
Stanley Allen Lemieux was born to Jorgensen and husband Pat Lemieux on Wednesday weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 21 1/4 inches. Mom and baby are doing well, according to Jorgensen’s Twitter.
On Monday, Lemieux posted a picture of Jorgensen eating spicy food saying they were trying to send the baby into “launch mode,” which Jorgensen retweeted saying, “11 days past ‘due date,’ baby really likes my belly.""
