Hot water (within reason- use caution) will dissolve the Gu/gel residue but be careful with a power washer. Adhesive residue comes off with Clean Streak from White Lightening or any commonly available adhesive remover from the hardware store. Read the directions and use caution if you own a bonded, carbon fiber, or other type bike that could have problems with the solvent damaging the bond. Be careful and work slowly. I've seen some real disasters.
