Swedish American Mondo Duplantis just jumped 19.4.25 in pole vault (5.90m).
This is world junior record and Swedish national record.
Mondo has dual citizenship, he is competing for Sweden in international competition.

That is truly unbelievable. He will be a WR holder soon.
I wonder what his 100m time is? Bubka was incredibly fast. That is part of getting anywhere near that height.

Getting excited about high school track and field season. First meet in a couple of weeks. Daughter does triple and long jump.

I agree... incredible. Phelps got a WR in the 200 fly when he was 16 or 17 and it happens somewhat regularity in women's sports but that is pretty special.
