I'm doing a partnership thing with the team I'll be racing with next year.

We were brainstorming ways in which we could raise money to help support the families of the local firefighters that lost their lives recently in the Esperanza fire here in Southern California. One of the concepts we came up with was to donate all the BTR website revenue from December 1 to January 15, 2007 to the fund.

In order for this to be successful and help these folks out to the max, I need your help in spreading the word. Here's a press release that we sent out:

=====================
San Diego FOG Racing and BikeTech Review Team Up to Support Esperanza Firefighter Fund

12/20/2006 - San Diego, CA, USA – On October 26, 2006 near Palm Springs, California, a suspected act of arson started what has subsequently been named the “Esperanza Fire”. The fire was extinguished six days later, but not before it had claimed over 40,000 acres of habitat, 34 homes, 20 outbuildings, and the lives of five hard-working firefighters. As a way to pay tribute and to help out the families of these firefighters, a local San Diego County master’s class cycling team, sd-fogracing.com, has partnered with biketechreview.com in an attempt to raise $15,000 for the fund. As part of this overall effort, biketechreview.com will be donating 100% of its December 1, 2006 to January 15, 2007 website revenue to the cause.

“We’re a pretty small operation, but we are committed to doing what we can to help these families in need. Every little bit helps!” BikeTech Review owner, Kraig Willett, commented.

Please support the Esperanza Fire Fund by either making a donation directly to the fund via check payable to:
