I recently ordered a set of enve 7.8 wheels. After a couples of days I received a phone call telling me that they have had some production issues and that the delay will be north of 10weeks. Is this common? Does anyone know what kind of "production" issue they are having?

It probably doesn't make sense for them to make a new rim-brake rim mold because in a year nobody is going to be buying them anyways.

I had the same problem. They told me there is a cosmetic issue that causes the brake track to have white coloring. The customer support was absolutely terrible

Sadly this has been the norm with them as of late. By as of late, I mean over the last 6 months to a year. They keep saying it'll improve, but it hasn't.

Checked on ENVE disc road wheelset before I bought ZIPP 303s and the wait was over 2 months. Made the decision to buy the ZIPPS very easy.

Wow! I guess I'd better hold on to the ones I was selling until I have the new 7.8s in hand.

And they moved into a brand new facility in the spring which has proven to bring some logistics problems. I ordered mine on 1 March and got them in mid May. 10-12 weeks seems to be their new standard.

What about ordering from PowerTap? They sell the 7.8 but with the G3 powermeter hub. Good wheelset.

They own a lot of top end sports gear companies that don't seem to be having production delivery issues. Though Enve may be the only one with a US production facility.

I just listed a new unused 808 NSW front in the classified yesterday in anticipation the Enve 7 was coming but maybe I should keep it for the time being.

Weird. I ordered the same set around the first of the year and they moved the goalposts for almost three months. I guess they are playing favorites?
In any event this is clearly a company that does not have its shit together.

Does anyone know if Enve has a presence on these forums like other companies do? Does slowtwitch want to look into it? Seems like it would be newsworthy.

I ordered mine mid April. Originally I was told 8-10 weeks. Emailed at the end of 10 weeks. On the account is says the wheels are "processing" and has been that way ever since I ordered them. At the end of the 10 week email correspondence that lasted til the end of June, they said I was in the mid teens in the queue, that they were making 2-5 sets a day. Its now July 13th and have received no updates. When did everyone else order the wheels?

Good wheelset. This^^^^ I have been going back and forth with Enve and the time between communication keeps getting longer. I have been anxious to place my order for 2 weeks, but I needed some contact with them to customize. I talked with Powertap and they jumped right up and are making the process much smoother. Their customer service is so awesome.....
I just stopped by Saris/Powertap and picked up my wheels. I'm glad I use the PT hub system, as they have a number of wheels in stock.......Enve told me 10-12 weeks, and it took me 20 minutes to get them from Powertap. AWESOME service, as always!
