There is a fun all-women half-marathon on Mother's Day in Central Park - it's getting to be somewhat of a tradition for a group of us from college but I still need to earn the plane ticket. Otherwise, I'll edit my punishment for not meeting my goals: a 13.1 mile run, alone, no ipod, on that day.

So if your travel plans coincide with the second Sunday in May...

Nice, but maybe you should make it a 13.0 run on that day, so you can't even think "well, at least I still ran a half marathon"...

* 10 - 20 lb loss (you determine how much)

15 pounds

* No athletes with already low %BF

Currently 15-16%

* There must be a clear & quantifiable reward if target met

Losing 15 pounds would be it's own reward ... as if increased muscle definition and vascualrity combined with being able to do more chins and dips and being faster isn't enough.

Fine, new running shoes.

* There must be a clear & quantifiable dire consequence if target missed

1-month ban from ST

* Monday morning weigh in

198.5 Given that the general rate for fat loss is 2lbs/wk, I guesstimate that I'll lose 15 pounds (hopefully all fat, and not muscle, water, etc) by March 5-12.

Just what I need. I gained way too much weight and lost too much muscle due to having surgery. I'm in! I think accountability is just what I need!

* 10 - 20 lb loss (you determine how much) I'd like to lose 13 lbs by 3/24/06

* No athletes with already low %BF No way is that me

* There must be a clear & quantifiable reward if target met I'll buy myself a cool jersey and some new cycling shorts

* There must be a clear & quantifiable dire consequence if target missed I will give up pizza for 6 months and double my coaching efforts for Girls on the Run

* Monday morning weigh in OK, it was tuesday morning. 203

Speedy - thanks for running this. Just to fill in the blanks - my reward is a fall race - either a nice oly or a marathon. My dire consequence is twofold - $250 contribution to charity of your choice + lose the booze thru end of '07.
And goal weight is 145 lb.

Speedy, now I see why there are question marks for consequences with my name. Must Learn To Read...

Trying again.
  • 10 - 20 lb loss (you determine how much): Starting weight 184 and Goal Weight is 169 so 15lbs
  • No athletes with already low %BF: % not an issue
  • There must be a clear & quantifiable dire consequence if target missed: Enter all events at the local masters swim meet (I can only freestyle and hate swimming)
  • There must be a clear & quantifiable reward if target met: Sign up for the DoubleMussel and Soloman events.
  • Wednesday morning weigh in: 1/3/07 = 183.8 (Goal weight = 169)

Edit: Starting weight is worse than I thought...

Speedy, on the Date, DOH, I looked at it saw the chart, just never thought to scroll over and see when it ends.

Ok, Will keep my goal at 20 though in that time frame I better be down 30.

And I have figured out the best Dire consequence of anyone.

Speedy. Can I still get in. It's worth a shot.

Weight on 1/1/07 - 198.4
Goal - lose at least 20lbs
If I get it - new cloths
If I don't - $250 donation to the SPCA

Goal time by May 1/07 (is that too far away to count)

I live in Vancouver B.C.

If not in I will still give it a go and follow through with the reward/consequence
