totally unfair having a weigh-in the day after the superbowl - ug!!! - 249lbs - gaining - hope it's just that huge amount of cheese, dip, chips and beer and assorted junk I ate last night!

Today completely blows. I hate Mondays - especially when you've been working your ass off and you gain 4 pounds. If I wasn't so fat I'd be done with this - but since that would be the total wrong thing to do, it's back to skiing and riding the trainer more and more... what a pisser... today, a whoppin 182. I hate the Bears - and I hate the Colts even more!! Damn superbowl!!

145 today - on the beam and on target. While I am cutting weight (hopefully mostly fat), I am being careful to keep my strength training up to maintain my muscle mass, especially in the legs. I want to stay the MFKOM in my group and that all boils down to thrust-to-weight.

Hi Dr. Speedy

Reporting in for my my Monday morning checkup. I am 193 this morning. Same as last week.

On Monday last week I decided I was overtraining (my immune system was starting to get knocked about), so I only trained twice last week. Happily I managed to not pile on any lbs.

Cheers, Paul

So..there I was, perusing the RT website...looking for Blue clothing, and then I see a picture of someone modelling the womens line..and. DAMN man..who is the woman?!?! I would provide a link for y'all but it's not on a specific page (it's hiding in the online store). If that woman is a triathlete...she's been...blessed. Is your website rated at all??

It was a very bad week, but the funny thing is, my scale is actually not working. Damn it. I'll go with 118. If I know my body, I'll say I'm up 2....

Training was down because I've had stomach problems (endoscopy tomorrow to figure out what's up)

The lady was generous enough to provide the pics for use on the website after she paid for the apparel !!!
She is a very nice, lovely lady & is.... blessed.

The same thing happened with the 2007 men's pics where an athlete emailed me the pics. If I don't get others soon, I'll be forced to model the stuff myself or would Ted McGregor do it? Would you?

The two 2006 jersey & bib short pics are of Colin Jenkins that he was generous enough to send me.

Up 2 pounds to 234. The Large pizza I single handedly demolished yesterday probably didn't help.

Apologies for the late reply. I'm in at 206lbs this week. Funeral last week plus sick with the flu/cough/cold the last few days means weight loss due to malnutrition, not exercise!

Like I said, sometimes I need a challenge to really get motivated ;-). What's working for me is that I have almost completely given up bread. I've just pretty much cut it out altogether. I rarely eat sugar anyway, so that's not a problem, and I try to stick with white meat chicken and fish - lots of it, too, to try keep my muscle mass up.

Just by simply cutting out all bread automatically slashed about 400-500 high GI calories a day (one sandwich = 240 calories of bread alone), and it was very easy to give up, and I just don't think I need all that wheat.

Good luck!

It's interesting to me that you mentioned giving up bread. I've always been a carb baby & this year I've cut back on bread, bagels, etc. big time. Last night we had a marvelous beef/barley stew & I normally would have toast with it. The family did & I passed. A few weeks ago that would have been difficult, last night it was easy.
