Cycling Indoors
We got more snow here today in Boulder, CO, not a whole bunch but some. It reminds me that I really have no idea what I am doing when I ride on my trainer.
I do intervals of 5 minutes standing 2-5 minutes fast spin recovery, or some other version of this. Or, I just grind it out and try to keep my HR up. Either way I go for an hour or two.
Any suggestions to get the most of trainer time?

Spinnervals is a series of indoor cycling DVDs. Intense and very good for improving enurance when you have to be indoors.

Oh man, that's funny. Here's the website: http://spinervals.com/

They're DVD workouts on the trainer. They have just about every type of workout imaginable. http://www.trainright.com also has IPOD trainer workouts designed by Chris Carmichael (Lance Armstrong's coach).

They really are great...I live in Northern Canada and they are a MUST here...I have quite a few of them and we are doing the 5 hour Hardcore 100 this weekend....and hopefully out on the roads shortly.

Good luck with the Harcore 100. I didn't think it was as physically demanding as the 3 hour Tough Love DVD, but when we did it we found 5 hours on the trainer to be psychologically difficult. Expect to shout some explicatives at coach Troy during the last 90 mins of that workout :).
