I am heading over to Orlando in a couple of weeks with the family to visit some friends.

We lived in Clermont for a year and a half back in 04 and 05 and loved running at the clay trail south of town near Lake Louisa. Is this trail still open to runners? I was hoping to get up there over the weekend if it was.

Yes. Keep in mind that it tends to be a fair bit softer in the summer than in winter, when the more regular rain keeps it firmer. But yup, the loop is still open. Pull off the hwy and just park and run the trails.
