I would imagine so... but then again, this will be my first. I also rushed through it, so autofill came in handy until I had to write the date euro-style. As mentioned above, it went off without a hitch right at 1am local time.
I got a spot- never before have I typed my email so quickly!
Accommodation anyone, managed to get mine sorted this weekend as well. Not a a lot around for a family of four but found a flat in Alsberg (?spelling) which is pretty close buy.
Managed to get a spot but my buddy who was trying at 1am PST didn't. I will also be looking for accommodation for a family of 4 ( kids 3 &6) How did you find your place in Alsberg?
...the starting places had been grabbed in 34 seconds. Following completion of the booking process, in 54 seconds the event was fully booked for the available slots allocated to foreign athletes. After a further 1:10 minutes, all starting places for German athletes were snapped up. http://www.triathlonbusiness.com/...just-over-2-minutes/
Not sure I got in. Got info in pressed send and didn't see a confirmation. For those that got it what did you see after you pressed send. I had it done in under 45 secs !!!
You should have gotten a confirmation email last night (early am) saying you'd receive another confirmation email today. I've got 2 emails in my inbox from Challenge Roth right now, one with a link to register up until August 3rd.
I did this race a few weeks back with my Tri club.. 40 of us went over and raced it. Not that anyone asked, but If you have any questions, feel free to ask at any time, and I will do my best to answer them.
My biggest piece of advice would be to get on local Germany time about 7 days before the event, even if you have to shift your local life around a lot to do so. Not having enough time to adjust to the 6 hour difference, travel, and general overall excitement regarding the whole thing led to not such a great race for me as I was exhausted by race day. If you are just going for the experience, then there is probably no need and you should be able to power through.
