I use the SPEEDtime and it's the most comfortable helmet I have ever tried. What would be the benefit from this "upgrade" to Giro Aerohead to count it as an upgrade? Since both helmets are aero helmets with integrated visor the only way of knowing if this is an upgrade or not is in the windtunnel to validate that you have the fastest helmet for your position.

Personal best:
Ironman 9:22:02
Ironman 70.3 4:20:00

I am not really familiar with the Casco, but there is a decent chance the Aerohead is faster because it is the first helmet to incorporate a leading-edge airfoil, rather than leaving the front more or less spherically shaped.

Specialized did a lot of work to try and get a visor to be a drag neutral addition to their helmet. They generally found that a bare face, with its goofy features, was faster than putting a shperical shape on the front, which is also the reasoning behind dimpled helmets. Whether the difference is large enough to switch is about impossible to tell without some testing though
