Built-in Rear Mount Cervelo P-Series Disc Ultegra
Quote | Reply
hey ya'll,

I just got a new Cervelo P-Series Disc Ultegra and it came with a snazzy, seat post built-in rear hydration mount, but I go through some hella fluid and had a double bottle mount on my last bike, so has anyone found a way to double that built-in mount?

This seatpost water bottle mount looks like it might work, but does anyone have any experience with it?

I searched and searched but to no avail.

Thank you, I really 'ppreciate ya'lls' help!

This is what I used as well. However, I got worried of the stress put on the integrated mount, and generally didn't like the positioning of the bottles. I also had the bolt come loose once, even with loctite. I ended up switching to the Profile Design RMP (https://profile-design.com/...stems/products/rmp-1) as it mounts higher and more flush with my saddle.

forgive me, it could be my lack of imagination, but I'm not understanding how the RMP integrates with the built-in mount 🤔

It doesn't, I ended up taking out that integrated mount/seat post piece and replacing it with the standard round bar that the seat clamp mounts to.

I use this an adapter for 2 bottle cages from M-Wave + 2 bottle cages.

I tried several bottle cages (and angle for setup) up but ended up securing the bidons (900ml both) with a velcro strap around the saddle rails. This stopped them flying but now I need to stop to refill by BTA bottle.

'ppreciate the suggestion. looked around and it seems a little harder to get: unavailable at amazon and walmart.com. you think they still make it?

gotcha. really 'ppreciate you share'n how the bolts coming loose on yours and after looking at them, they do seem a little too short for my comfort, so I picked up some longer ones at a local parts house just to be sure.

Has anyone removed the bottle holder post from the seat post? I want to install the Xlab instead. Thanks!

I have owned a standard P3 rim brake and now a P5D and P3X.
The P5D and P3X look like they use a proprietary mounting system. https://shop.cervelo.com/...st-waterbottle-mount
I may be wrong but you cannot use products like the Tri Rig system which have a round tube that goes into the seat post and lets you mount multiple water bottles etc. https://tririg.com/.../beta-bottle-carrier
The Cervelo insert into the seat post is not round and I don't think you can use anything else in its place like you could with the older frame sets.

This is not totally correct. Cervelo includes a proprietary insert to mount the saddle without that extra bottle mount sticking out the rear. You're correct in that you still can't use something like the TriRig system that has a round tube.

I'm going to try this. The arm / post holding the my two water bottles snapped off today. I can't find a in-stock replacement from a domestic seller. Better on a training ride than during a race I guess.

This is what I have used for years (decades) and now on my P5d https://www.amazon.com/...-Mount/dp/B076LS2TYH It is very simple, light, durable, etc. Oh, and it also hooks over the bike rack in transition.

Any chance you know the part number for that? I am trying to find this piece so I can have a seat post without any hardware sticking out the back of the seatpost behind the saddle. It seems like my best option is either 1) buy the UCI legal seat post, which does not appear to have the bottle mount integrated, 2) buy an extra piece and cut the piece so that it is flush. For context, I've switched to a Wove saddle and want to use the integrated bottle cage set-up on the saddle itself.

I'm not sure, the part actually came with the bike, but maybe a dealer or Cervelo could help?
