Bike manufacturer asks you to take its survey
Quote | Reply
the survey is here. i can't tell you who it is and i can't promise you results of the survey. i'll try to get some results to show you. the bike maker is, however, specifically interested in SLOWTWITCHER response to this survey, because for some reason (i tried to disabuse them of their misconceptions!) they value YOUR opinions above all others.

do you promise a bike manufacturer made this???

gonna be an interesting bias w/ the ST crowd regarding the decision making process of buying the next tri bike.

So they are listening to me...

Pretty awful survey, but at least somebody is doing market research.

Fear not, kiley. We're ALL listening to you.

Dan,

Kindly forgive me. I chose the "Could tell Dan Empaled a thing or two" response. While this is far from true, it was the best answer. The first two were absurd, and I've been widowed for almost 12 years...

P.S. Kileyay - yep, you're right, pretty darn poor survey.

Done.

I had suspected a completely different manufacturer when I saw the $100 gift card, but when I saw all 4 bikes I was proven wrong.

I think the "Sticky" threads actually yield less attention and response from the community than normal threads. If the desire is to draw attention to important topics, why not simply highlight them with a background yellow, and allow them to float per responsiveness like any other thread? Meritocracy works here and not sure sticky threads do

There are a couple of bad translations here. So Canyon?

Those were some pretty butt ugly bikes. The canyon was the only one I could see myself riding.

My last question was very Diamondback specific. So I'm going with it's a Diamondback survey.

I somewhat agree with this. I usually just pass over sticky threads since I'm so used to seeing them so often, and they are usually stale topics.

Done. I didn't think it was that bad of a survey. Seems like they're after mindshare opinions of the 4 top superbikes on the market.

By who's definition? I only recall seeing one Cervelo at AG Nationals and none of the others. I did see a lot of QR PR5/6, though. A better description would be "non-conventional" bicycles.

As the Canyon is the only normal looking bike, I am going to go with Canyon on the theory of they are seeing if they need to make a halo bike that looks different, has disc brakes and claim to be as fast as their other bikes.

You obviously miss the entire point of the Internet.

Same here. Better than other surveys I have seen on here and better (more simple?) than many of the ones I see for work.

Edit: Apparently I also missed the point of the internets.

I would love to read the answers to the last question...I know mine was snarky...but I'm pretty sure there will be some comedic gold in there.
