Best Water in Arizona Triathlons
I really cannot stand to swim in dirty reservoirs, lakes, harbors. The Tempe Towne Lake is one of my least favorite places. Anyone know of local (Phoenix or close drive) where the triathlon involves a clean swim? I am not a water snob but I do like a relatively non-trash, condom, fuel swimming experience when I pay 50-100 bucks for a tri.

My thought is that there really is not a good lake here but thought I would see what others have found...

fool hollow lake @ may, up in show low seemed pretty clean. tempe just seems murky to me, after all it's mostly colorado river water. the only thing that creeped me out was the dead body they found a week before soma, but of ocurse a few drownings every year in lake pleasant too. bartelett is clean but since the demise of d3 racing no triathlon there anymore.

anyone else?

only in arizona would someone think it's neat to pump colorado river water water 250 miles to make an artificial lake, and watch it evaporate in the 114 degree weather.

don't just do something..... sit there
