BP Meds
I have mild high BP and use diazide, which is a diuretic. I do not take it the day of races or long hot training days, so as to retain mo fluids. My question has to do with HR.

It seems that when I have taken the med prior to the workout, my HR is supressed by about 10 points. My percieved exhertion is higher than the HR number would suggest, mimicking training when tired. When not on the med, my HR is elevated earlier making it less likely to stay low later in a race (Half or Full distance). ALmost makes me wonder whether to take it in the later stages of a race to see what effect it might have on my HR.

Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance,
