There's no swim, so I think your ass will end up on the getting kicked list. Could be worse...

There are only 3 kinds of people:
Those that can work with numbers,
And those that can't.

Yoda is definitely in there someplace.

The only reason you ever beat me is because I didn't realize I was allowed to use both my legs for cycling and running. I got it down now, left right left right.

Everybody else start carbo loading? I started about 6 months ago and have the waistline to prove it. Still a few more days left to cram in some fuel.

I just did my 3rd, no shit, 3rd brick run in the last 3 years and only my 3rd bike ride in the last 10 days.

Carbo loading, on the other hand, is my core competency.

If beer is part of carb loading, I am a Zen master.

You've got 2 more brick runs, and a nice warmup run prior, in your very near future. That'll be big fun for you, methinks.

A lot can happen between now and Sunday. 3 years of bike racing has taught me that you can gain a lot of fitness in a short amount of time as long as you aren't starting from scratch.

As opposed to the triathlete mindset of "oh shit, the race is in 4 months, there's no time!"

Though, I've definitely cut myself a bigger slice of the pain pie. Not to be confused with the suffering clam, or the ouch hatchet wound.

I hope to avoid walking, too........during the bike.

I walked on the bike at AZ once. In the SC. Pathetic, I know, but sometimes it is just not your day. I won the SC the next year.

You make it sound like this isn't enough training. I usually do about 2 bricks per year. 3 rides in 10 days? That might be plenty if you do 40-50 mile rides.

Brick runs are for the weak and chafed. I will make sure to get in the weekly swim/bar brick thursday night that Chris and I participated in on a regular basis. The hot tub transition can be pretty rigorous in between...and it can also make for some "interesting" friday morning runs.

When I went up to race Battenkill, I was thinking I'd be dropping out of AmZof because I just didn't have the training in. Then at the bar for my pre-race meal, there were pictures of Chris on the wall, looking down at me as if to say "you fucking pussy."

Naturally, I decided that night that I was racing.

Here is your homework (I will collect it on Sunday when I take you to school):

If tri_yoda rides the AZ bike course at 35 km/hr, at what point will he pass KAlber on the course? I need you to put your answer in a sealed envelope, you can't just wait until this happens and then write down the location. Please note that the Mohonk House golf course is not part of the official course.

You can give me your answer in the pavillion, I will be waiting for you;) I have to leave by 2:00 pm to catch a flight, so if you don't catch up to me by then, just ask boots to post your answer on the ST live updates.

Just so you're aware, an entire community of hillbilly mountain freaks got lost en route to West Virginia in the early 20th century and ended up in the Catskills. Tetsuoni will tell you that they're a gentle people, but I would advise you to proceed with extreme caution. If you hear the dueling banjos - it's probably too late.

Based on some of these recent posts - anyone else considering if the extra weight of the .45 over the .380 is worth carrying?

Let us revisit this infamous moment from 2010:

TriYoda barfs up a lung, realizing he has won the Canadian Womens race, but 2nd place overall is a 4'10" chick, close on his heels :)
