Altitude tents

If I'm in the market for a used altitude tent...
What should I be looking for in quality and value? Are there some name brands better than others?
Versatility and user-friendliness?

I can't afford a new one, obviously, but definitely interested in getting one at a reduced rate. If anyone has any info on these, specifically what to look for in a purchase, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

John, see if you can hit up Shaun Wallace on facebook, if not I can get you his email.

He is an ex olympian who builds tents now. He will have some good insights on what to get and how to use them.

If Shaun has a penchant for suing people I am not aware of it!

Not to my knowledge...just found it funny.

Does he make CAT altitude tents? I may have spoken with him over the phone, or possibly someone else from the company.

The problem I've had so far is that all the folks who sell new ones obviously want to sell me a new one. Most of the new stuff is in the $4K+ range, but I'm seeing used models for $1K-$2K, likely the same quality, but with a few hours on the generator. Just like almost anything used, you'll get a better value that way...
