Strange, I logged my midnight run and it shows up in the log, but not he challenge. Oh well, I am sure it will catch up at one point.

I'm in, first time for this but my running needs help. Looking forward to seeing how I do. I have watched this challenge each of the last two years and there are some amazing frequencies and mileages logged. Going for gold.

thanks Dev. I dropped out last year (injuries) but this year since I'm already doing 6 days/week, I'm considering going 100 days straight. Course, will be listening closely to the legs to see what they say.

You have a little green P next to your run... while all the other workouts (yours and mine) have a grey L. Possibly indicative of the reason it's not showing up? The P seems to stand for Planned.

I am not entering because I'm too OCD and will end up getting hurt, but I may post occassionally. 8 miles this morning w/ 10k in 46 min., then lifting.

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

Run one or two times a week slowly on the soft Mexican sand and it will save your joints...

I run 6 days/week on calica (pebbles to powdered limestone) and rocks and sand. Only on concrete for races/events. I'm very tempted to forgo a supported marathon in January and instead do the 42 klicks here on my 5km jungle loop.

The resident fat and slow guy transforming into a triathlete is going to commit to bronze level. I know how to train injury free now, but am still 30lbs too heavy and slow. I saw this challenge and just went for a 30 min run in the Sahara. You have to love work trips. This challenge should help me prep for Galveston. It will be my 2nd HIM and I need to improve a lot. I was so slow and hurt I didn't dare do a RR.

Anyway, 1 down 69 to go now to try and log it...... from Hassi Messaoud.

Thanks Dev an ST for throwing this on again.
I'll try to keep pace for 75-80 runs again as I head into IM Melbourne.
Good luck to all :)

First run done. 16K 80 min run including 2x500m hard and then 1x1000m timed in 3:39. Not sure why I was able to do this today and yesterday when I wanted to run sub 6 min mile at the Roger Bannister track that I could only do 6:26....I can only chalk this up to doing today's timed leg in my time zone and yesterday doing it at the equivalent of 3 am my time so my body was totally off. So 3:39 is my baseline starting the challenge and I'll see if I can get this down closer to 3:30 by the end and also break 40 min in a 10k. I think it is possible.

Hmmm, challenge says to run 100 times before 12/24/2012 - that's aggressive even by ST internet hardarse standards! ;p

I'm in again after a false start last year. Nothing like a little pancreatitis to mess up training plans. Still dealing with health issues almost a full year later but at least I am able to run, albeit very very slowly for now.

Thx to Dev for herding the rabble.

Did you log a time?

I'm doing the 200 miles in December challenge and was having the same problem until someone told me I needed to enter a time as well as the miles.

Hey, good luck on IM Melbourne. One of these years I have to head down for that one. I know it is new, but from what I saw on the video, it looks like a nice venue (at least on the run course) and the time of year is perfect to escape the Canadian winter for a few weeks. The trainer time could be mind numbing though!

First run in the books!

Thanks Dev for putting this together again this year. I am in for third year in a row. Shooting for ~70 runs following the Pfitz 18/55 plan with biking on the off days.
