I arrived early today in Carefree, AZ (just outside of Phoenix) for this year's Timex Multisport team camp.

Here are a few impressions from the day.

Herbert

Quintana Roo

I guess this means we are in Arizona

Some of the Timex Multisport team members return from a ride

After the ride the Quintana Roo bikes from the Timex team wait for some love
from Doug.

Several team members hanging out casual in the afternoon

Profile sponsor gets ready to show and explain all the aerobars for the Timex
athletes

New wheel sponsor Bontrager is about to show off various wheels

The new team bags filled with all kinds of items wait for the team members to
arrive

Matt Seeley, Jordan Rapp, Stephen Bayliss, Jess Draskau-Peterson and Kevin Grogan
just before dinner and the presentation

Sergio Marques and his gear arrives quite late after his great race at IMAZ

The Timex team is featured nicely on the new Timex watches

Dave Harju is shown some new Timex OVA watch features by David Schlissel from Timex

Sergio shows off some of his new swag items

Various team members sit down to check the internet, and Stephen Bayliss has found Slowtwitch

hey, thanks for the pictures. now im green with envy ... trying to scheme with my tiny brain how i -- despite my total lack of anything even remotely resembling talent -- can score a backpack schwag pack.

i think ive been to that rest stop in arizona. either that, or they all luck the same.

Looks like a Ritchey Pro Adjustable stem to me. I have one. It works great. Very solid

Sergio is using a POS stem he picked up in Portugal. His position needed a stem at roughly 45deg, and the Ritchey doesn't go past 40deg.

If you're interested in the stem, send him an email and he'll send you the stem when he gets on the Seduza, he won't need an adjustable stem on that frame. It will make for a great paper weight ;-)

Wow,

That anyone can ride with that much drop on that seat for 112 miles is simpy amazing. Hopefully he will still be able to have children if he choose to do so later in life. :)

Awesome - thanks for sharing that with us mere mortals.

Hey Paulo - did you clean up the schwag table again this year, or is that why they went with the labelled backpacks? ;-)

I guess that is not that much, only 3 or 4 centimeters more than I have. I went back and looked at the photo and the rear wheel is sort of elevated and the shot is decieving. Still, I wouldn't want to ride that saddle, especially when you consider a comment he made a while back about how he always rides on the nose, regardless of the seat angle. Ouch.

The photos look great. It would be nice to be in Arizona this time of year, a welcome change from Seattle right about now.

Say a big hello to Matt Seeley and Linsey Pickell for me! (Michael Gordon) I am a former Montanan like them and saw them in your pictures.

Have a great time training down there!

Very cool...but still trying to figure out the Bontrager wheel sponsorship. Seems odd to mix a Trek component company with ABG given Real Design...

There are actually several XTerra athletes on the Timex Multisport team and thus there are a few mountain bikes around. The MTB in question I believe belongs to Conrad Snover who just returned from Sea Otter, with a 3rd place finish in the singlespeed division.

The Timex triathletes all ride Quintana Roo tri bikes. Some have personal road bikes from previous relationships, plus in the pic you also see a few road bikes from curious road bikers who happened to come by the site of the truck at the Carefree Resort.

Cheers,

Is this the stem you have?

I can't find it in any size other than 25.4mm (for the bar). Does that fit a 26mm bar? Thanks.

Sergio's stem is not a Ritchey. I unfortunately do not know the brand.
