'through the eyes of the elite' DVD

hey gang -

am getting into the doldrums of brutal and lonely training; my next race is a month off. i was thinking about buying that "Triathlon: Through the Eyes of the Elite" video; any thoughts? i know it's outdated (circa 2000) but might be interesting and get me a bit more motivated. anyone seen it? or selling it?

-mike

Hey! I'm in that movie!

It's Ok, not the best vid you will ever see but its kinda fun to see some things triathlon related. If you can ignore how much of a DORK Wes is (hope your reading this buddy) it can be a cool way to spend an hour on the trainer.

Yo Mike,

Have you watched the 2004 coverage of the ITU races off the website? If you can find a reasonably fast connection, they're good value. Turned my crank a few weeks back.

i actually enjoyed it. would i watch it over and over again like i do the kona videos, no. but i've watched it probably a dozen times and enjoyed it each time. i recommed old kona or tour de france videos for trainer time.

[reply]yuck on the dvd. my husband and i watched it and thought it was awful. he found watching coverage of some of the past hawaii IMs more motivating. of course, you may find it worthwhile. so if you have the money to spend, you can be your own critic.[/reply]

Yes, better buy a Hawaii or IMNA race DVD. They are much better.
