'Old' Visiontech Alu Basebars and PD or Shimano brake levers

Will one of these combos work w/o doing any 'engineering' on my part? I searched the threads and haven't found the answer to these 2 particular combos.

I have the 'old' VT alu basebars with 26.0 clamp. Not interested in the vision brake levers.

I'm most interested in the Shimano DA 7800 or some of the new PD offerings.

I'm not sure if things have changed, but I have a set of PD levers that are about 4 years old in a 26mm alu. Vision base bar that's 5 years old. No modifications necessary.
