"Hill Simulator" for Computrainer

Does anyone know if the "Hill Simulator" product made as an accessory for the Computrainer (but by an independent party) is still available? Can't seem to locate their website.

Thanks!

I want one! I always wanted to be a Carnie !! Can look at this as on the job training:o) Really looks like a fun way to keep it interesting depending on cost.

Don't know about that one but Computrainer makes a hill climber attachment. I trained on one over the last few months for a hill climb. While it simulates the climb position, it feels nothing like actual climbing. I think if you want to climb hills, you need to find hills to climb.

If I recall correctly, it was rather expensive (around $650) and the benefits questionable. Based on personal experience, if you ride the hilly Computrainer courses (Escape from Alcatraz, Madeira WC, etc.) on a regular basis, you will become a stronger climber. The incline position of the bike is immaterial. I am a fairly large guy - 6'2", 180 lbs - and went from off the back to a decent climber thanks to CT.

Based on this thread in the CompuTrainer forum at RacerMate's site, it does appear that they are indeed out of business:

oh well
you will just have to simulate hills by pedaling really hard in an inappropriate gear.

or you could buy a granny cassette and compacts so you don't need to practice being in an inappropriate gear
