100 days to IMFL
My wife bought me a countdown clock to set for big goals. I woke up this morning and it said 100 more days until IMFL. Some days knowing the truth is tough, so I thought I would share my pain whether you wanted to know or not!

Good luck, especially to those first timers like myself.

Hmmm, you're right, it is 100 days plus a few hours until start time.

Guess I better get my ass in the pool!

Good luck to you and train safe.

And good luck to second timers like me, who blew up at CDA and are looking for redemption!

Just an FYI, The Summit is a steal of a deal for lodging in PCB. We paid $85 per night for a suite on the beach, roughly 1 block east of the starting line.

Shit, I think I stayed there when I went to PCB for Spring Break my freshmen year in college. It's right next to Spinacker's, right? I have to keep this in mind when some of my buddies and myself make plans for the race.

Thanks.

Yep, 100 days. The countdown is my internet startup page. The recovery from LP is progressing nicely and I can't wait for my attack on PCB.

I believe it is. Right across from a neon eyesore of an amusement park. It's got these two enormous rainbow-neon towers for some slingshot-type ride that look like feelers on a giant radioactive cockroach, but I assure you you'll be loving those feelers when they guide you home around mile 24 on the run.

Whew hoo! You got me psyched! My first IM too, and I'm doing the 70.3 Championships the following weekend! I've already booked into the Gulfcrest Condos in PCB, and have yet to get plane tix/rental car, etc. Haven't really ramped up my training a ton yet, but that will change in the next few weeks!
Yeah now!

Great idea. Much prefer a double-digit load of worry to a triple-digit burden.

IMFL my first IM also; but have to survive my daughter's wedding two weeks before then! Do you think Steve Martin could have fit IM training into the chaos of planning a wedding in Father of the Bride?

Of course, I'm not Steve Martin - I'm certain he's more prepared than I am.....

Best of luck to all other first-time IMers. Should be a hoot!
