Yep. My suspicion is that it's too long using either method (big/small is just easier to see in a photograph).

You haven't heard? They're made from the skin of baby Ethiopians. It's a very fast material, but Continental underpays and treats horribly the unions that harvest the baby skin.

Nice steed!

Put your wheel magnet in the valve stem hole, it works for me. I used a little glue and some tape.

personally, the only things remaining would be some used Cane Creek brakes (black), and perhaps some carbon cranks with black chain rings...

and of course, black cable housing ;-) However, it is nice to see someone who doesn't have 3 feet of friggin' cables bowing around the front of a bike like a spider web :-)

Sweet bike! It's just like the one I want but I'm too attached to my Kilo to part with it.

Why do you have to part with your Kilo? I have three road bikes and with this bike, I now have three TT/Tri bikes. One of the TT bikes is headed for ebay, but I have a nice P2k that's set up identically to the one in the picture here. If you blindfolded me, I'd be hardpressed to tell you which bike I was on. I'll keep the P2k set up for training and doing tri relays and stuff like that. I'll keep the P3sl set up for time trialing (assuming it proves itself worthy over the course of the next week ... I have two TTs coming up).

In reply to other posters, those are NOT Conti's made from the hide of underprivelidged children from third world nations. They're Vittoria Corsa Evo Pros ... made from ground up Thai children, I think.

Well my Kilo has about 4,500 miles on it. The headset is dying as well as every other part. I was going to replace it this season but figured I'd go one more season. That's exactly how I rode my C'dale for seven years. Also there is no more room for another bike in the garage. I would sell it to someone but it's almost done in. By the way I'm 240lbs. I like to eat up tires, wheels and headsets. MAN, getting rid of your old bike is hard! I'm hoping it will explode in the last few feet of GFT. Then I will have to say goodbye!

Honestly, 4,500 miles shouldn't spell the end of a bike unless you bought it from Wal-Mart. I just replaced my road bike that had about 40,000 miles on it, put on over the last 3 1/2 years. It didn't really NEED replacing. I'm always looking for an excuse to try something new.

Granted, you say you're 240 lbs and I'm sure that's a different deal for a frame than my 150 lbs. But then again, I live in the boonies and ride on some really awful tar and gravel roads that beat the daylights out of me and my bike. I still got 40,000 miles out of it. And your parts shouldn't be dying after 4,500 miles. You might just take it into your LBS and have 'em do an overhaul. Seriously ... no bike with only 4,500 should be even close to being worn out. You probably need a new chain and you might need some new chainrings, maybe a cassette and maybe some new cables. You might want to have the bearings in your wheels checked. And headsets can be serviced. These things are routine maintenance.

My new road bike will have 4,500 miles on it by the end of September. Your Kilo should be just gettin' warmed up!

You didn't really think you could post your bike on here and people would just say nice things about it, did you?

It would be one thing if you were slow, then everyone would go easy on you. But as things stand, STers have to take the mickey out of your bike.......

Seriously, 4500 miles is 2 rear tires and a front, and a new chain. If you're 240, buy stronger wheels, replace the bearings in the headset.

Actually, when I made the original post, I was inspired by the bike's overall stunning appearance ... kinda like launching a firework and just looking forward to hearing the ooohs and aaahhhs.

Anyway, I'm glad the Mickey's out of it. It's time to get down to business with it.
