I'm I the only one who believes running shoes sold in the US are, for the most boring looking? I get my shoes from Japan and over there, as in Europe sometimes, the colors are on the bright side. Do they make you faster? very doubtful, but they look great!

These are my training Mizuno Wave Rider 9 in Burgundy, and racing flats Mizuno Idaten in Blue, neither one available in the US. Any comments?

I couldn't get the pics to show, just the links. Anyway, I get them FROM Japan, not IN Japan. My In-laws live there so I can order from different stores and the items are shipped to their home. Then the shoes are sent to me. Kinda lucky that way.

UGLY!! God, please don't bring loud running shoes back! I thought they went out with the Trapper Keeper.

We've still got a few loacls at the track wearing those BOP loud speckled neon running shorts.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. But, then again, I'm just a simple runner (not trying to pose).

No worries, the shoe companies in the US know there are many who feel the same way as you, that's why they don't sell these shoes here.

I think American shoes are boring too color wise. BUT working in a running store, the number one request has got to be for all white, all greyish (so they don't get dirty) or otherwise plainer shoes. It's like clothing too. You bring in all the cool colored shorts and tops and everyone goes "cool, it's great you are bringing in so many colors!" and then they buy the navy or black...

It is close between neon yellow and bright orange.

And everyone knows that black is bad ass.

I enthusiatically support gaudy running shoes for racing and some training.

I am opposed to the same when it comes to everyday street wear.
