Specialized Sitero Plus Saddle-better than Sitero?
I need to replace my saddle from my crash and would like to do longer rides without sore spots. I currently have the sitero 130 and noticed there is a plus version. Anyone use it and have good or bad experiences?

I've same sittero saddle non plus. The question is if you struggled with the comfort on the sitero? I'm fine up to 160km with 4mm padding on shorts on rough chipseal. From there it's nothing major but mentally I find it helps me to look forward to starting the run. So adding more squish isn't something I'd want. I also find with all my saddles that less is more. Once accostomed to the saddle then I don't really on the padding

I installed the plus version on my TT bike last spring. So far, it has worked really well for me. The saddle it replaced was the first version of the Selle Italia Watt, which I found comfortable but not perfect. I pondered whether to purchase the regular or plus version too; my focus is long distance and so, I purchased the Sitero+

I opt'd for the 130mm width if that is important.

I've been using the original Sitero for years. When the plus came out, I bought one thing it would be even better. I was wrong, extreme discomfort. No idea why. YMMV....

Well, the responses aren't too promising! 50/50. Love it or hate apparently.

What I didn't like about the original was the tenderness/discomfort that I would get when in the aero position. It wasn't a pinching or anything, but more an issue with where my legs meet my hips...maybe imagine a barbie doll (It's an action figure!) legs when you can move them...that area underneath. I am hoping to get rid of that "hot spot" area and have something that is perfect.

If I can find one that is reasonable, I will pick it up. My store I got fit at is an hour away without traffic...hard to get to now too with the weekend schedule of soccer (kid) and trying to squeeze in workouts.

The best thing about the sitero is that it was easy to remove so I could toss it into the box o useless junk. I imagine riding the horn of an anvil would be more comfortable. I don’t have anything useful to add, just another condemnation of that horrid saddle. Also, I really love my Dash saddle.

Feel free to post it to me to free that space in the junk drawer. ;-) With a new bike on the way then I'll 100% be buying another one so that I can keep the old one as a trainer bike.

One thing, and noticing the comment above, did you get measured for the saddle (in store they have the gel pad you can sit on and then measure the spacing to be able to select the right fit for you)? I remember it took a few weeks to get the angle right compared to the Ronin that I was using previously that did leave me a little numb at the end of 180km in TT position.

And it may be that all my saddles are now specialised, road, road trainer, mtb and sitero on TT. So perhaps they just work for me, or my body has adapted to conform.

It came stock on a specialized Shiv I bought in 2016. I tried it for a month or two in varying configurations, before trying ISM, then landing on Dash. PM me and I’ll look in the junk box.

Thanks, my comment was a little tongue in cheek as I live half the world away and suspect postage is going to be more than the actual saddle.

But did want to highlight that one person's junk is another's treasure. And given the very specific way in which we are using saddles then I think it to be expected that almost the better it works for one person the worst it is likely to be for someone else.

I'm in the states, I'd take the saddle from you and pay your postage if you are cool with that.

I do wonder if the one you have is different than the current model. I feel like there are at least 2 or 3 versions of it.

Is the nose of the 155 and 130 the same? Just tried a 155 and I actually liked it but it felt much too wide on the rear for me. I liked being in the aero bars with saddle more so than many others. I thought the nose would be too wide but it really tapers so has a nice bit of option and narrow nose.

Might try a 130 plus.

Not sure. I decided to stay with the regular sitero. Hope it works out for you

The 130 nose is narrower. I found the first 1cm the same then the taper back is much more gradual. The 155 very much just had one fixed sweet spot off the front, but you can move about a bit on the 130, and I've found it better for when you have to sit up for climbing etc.

Sounds like what I'm looking for!! Hopefully works out.
