Conversion from SRAM Rival to Force
Hi All,

I'm planning conversion from Rival to Force crank with Red Aero chainring.
https://www.sram.com/...odels/fc-frc-assy-d2
https://www.sram.com/...models/cr-xsnc-dm-d1
Rival has BCD 107 chainring and Force 8 bolts direct mount.

Do you guys know if those 8 bolts are included to crank or chainring set? Or do I need to buy them separately?
Is the whole operation easy that I can do it by myself at home or some special tools are needed?

Thanks in advance for help!

You know that the shortest Force crank arm is 165mm, right?

Yep, is the same like the Rival crank in Speedmax. You're suggesting it will be too long?

The 8 bolts came with my 1x chainring I bought from modern bike.
I just upgraded to Sram Force AXS and the swap was easy.
For special tools, you’ll need a torque wrench at minimum. If you don’t currently have Dub bottom bracket you’ll need to change what’s currently on the bike and of course the necessary tools if you do it yourself.

Great, thanks mate!
Both, Rival and Force have the same DUB BB, so that won’t be a problem.

Most of my customers prefer 155mm cranks for their triathlon bikes.

What brand has the 155 mm in their offer except Rotor?

Okay so give him an alternative option.. Also, I’ve always believed 155mm seems a bit unnecessary (look at pro crank size).

The op did not originally inquire about crank length, not even in the slightest. You are a professional troll, you're doing the opposite of helping the discussion by attempting to hijack this thread, and many others, with your pointless musings.

Is crank length not important for proper fit?

Does this vary by riders height at all though? For example, I'm 195.5cm tall and run 170mm cranks on my TT bike.

Yes, the preferred crank arm length does typically become longer as the rider's height is taller.

170mm could be correct for you. Have you ever tried longer or shorter cranks?

There are so many other threads on crank length it would be impossible to post the link to them all but the search function is a marvelous thing.

It would be nice if you respected the OPs question and what they need help with instead of burying it and pushing your own unrelated agenda. This wasn't a bike fit thread, it was a maintenance/mechanical one.

Since the OP is buying a new crankset, don't you think it would be a good idea to get the right length?

I will allow myself to repeat the question :)

Praxis does as well: https://praxiscycles.com/product/zayante-carbon/

Praxis actually uses SRAM's old three-bolt spider interface. I just bought one for my TT bike, and will be using a P2M spider from a bike that I sold a while back.
