I've only talked to Garmin tech support twice. They were amazingly good, especially for such a big company. If you haven't already, I would suggest giving them a shot at helping you.

If you have not, try to turn it off and on again.
If that does not work, check for updates.
If that does not work, factory reset.
If that does not work, check for updates.

Had similiar issue, and a factory reset took care of it. It is a pain in the a** to set the watch back up, but it fixed it at least.
