Hmmm...maybe. I know Ian Pyott lives in OC, so maybe Jonas (his fellow countryman) does too.

I would be very interested in a report on any changes/improvement with the new management. I would love to race at Bonelli again, but need to see some improvements in safety, organization, and results, especially with what they are charging.

I haven't raced Bonnelli yet this season, but from what I hear the new blood involved with the race management is doing a good job in working out some of the problems that have occured over the past few years.

I did the first one at the beginning of this month and the main difference from last year (the first year I did triathlons, including Bonelli races) was chip timing. Everything else was pretty much the same. Nice, grassroots race with no hype or hassles really. The free bike cleaning kits from Simple Green are a nice perk, and of course the raffle after the race.

Just a correction, Ian is Swiss and Jonas is Swedish. Jonas lives in Sweden but was here for a few weeks getting ready for IMAZ. So I don't think we will see Jonas again. I won't make it either as I have a "Starry Safari" scheduled with the family in Palm Springs at the Living Desert. Hope you all enjoy, also hope the grass is less muddy for the finishing sprint.

If I see you this weekend I will tell you....but I will give you a hint. I live a block away from it on the sound end of Windasea, and it is known for a hollow pitching left, not a right. This was just a special morning with good swell and tide that allowed it to be bodysurfed. Guys on boards were getting top-to-bottom barrels throwing all the way to the flats.
