I didn't know you volunteered as well. I just spectated and cheered from 7am that day and I agree that it is exhausting. I was completely drained at the end of the day but I somehow was up until 2:30 that morning. I had so much sunscreen in my eyes that I couldn't make out details about 6 feet in front of me, but I would do it all over again.

Yes, you girls were great. What are you doing in November? I could use some help at around Mile 20 at IMFL.

Thanks BT and everyone else that volunteered. It's been said before, but I don't think it can be repeated enough - the volunteers were great and really made the race. And just in case you were the poor guy who was taking my bike from me - I apologize (again) for the involuntary scream of pain in your ear when my calf seized up :)

Thanks again to all!

Big props and thanks to the volunteers and spectators. It made the day a wonderful experience and we wouldn't be racing without your support and help. To all my friends and family that were there thanks for all the cheers and encouragement!!

"I got chills and a big smile and some extra energy every time I heard Seaton calling out my name every time I entered his station zone (#4)" - hanging with Seaton and the crew from Trisport.com, Desert Heat Tri Club and Tucson Tri Girls was an absolute blast. First time I have worked an aid station at an Iron Man (done other races) and it is amazing how much you can learn and apply to your own future races by just watching to guys like Sergio, Tim de Boom, etc fly by...
