Crimp cable ferrules to housing?
Hello, I would like to change my shifter cables as a weekend project. I believe I have everything I need to do it correctly.
However, there is still a question that remains unanswered, how do I attach the ferrules to the ends of the cable housing? Will they stay put between the frame's cable guides and the cable housing? Or do I need to crimp the ferrules to the housing? And if I need to crimp them, won't it "crush" the inside of the housing?
Thanks

No need to crimp them to the housing... they will stay put with the tension in the cable from the front or rear mechs.

Suffer Well.
