Hi all, I just received an email from a local triathlon group urging me to sign up fast for this thing, as they expect it to fill a YEAR in advance.

Any credence to this? Their thinking was based on the following points:

-ITU World Cup race
-only 4th US WC event ever
-prize money
-tv coverage
-olympic qualifier (for pros)

I figured it would eventually fill, but do I need to go to the website and register today?

No, I am not trying to hype this thing up -- it's a legitimate question. How did previous ITU WC events in the US fare? Also fast-fillers?

Any comments or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
