Yeah, my wife's attitude toward's Chirstmas (or any gift-giving holiday) is a blessing/curse. Its a blessing because she's SOOO not materialistic that she wants no gifts ever; she'd rather travel. That's great, because I love to travel too, and it keeps me out of the malls. The curse is that she doesn't understand AT ALL why I would want to spend money on bikes, wicking clothing, race clothing, training nutrition, more than one pair of running shoes, you name it. Of course, she grew up without tv...she must have developed a special immunity to adverts.

I'm soooo lucky. My wife trains with me, Loves to travel so we plan trips and races. She bought me a new Jeep wrangler with a bike rack! AND she's pretty inside and out

Having a wife that is into triathlons is a huge bonus -- I never have to worry what to get her for Christmas, Annv., b-day -- just buy race/training gear and she is happy.

The hot body that comes from training is a bonus too.

My Hunny Bunny gave me my own pedal wrench for Christmas one year. I loved it! Got more use than a diamond pendant would have.

She knows what possessions are truly important. Last year our house burned down. After we got our daughter out of the house, I grabbed my laptop and ran out. My wife grabbed her Cervelo P3 and got out. Good call, the new computer only cost $2,000.

I agree, my ex was too busy watching QVC and rerun movies and sleeping until 11am and never understood me.

Women were always so hard to buy for until now.

My wife is always happy if I buy something where it's obvious that it took some time, thought, and effort to get. Turns out, many women are like that. It's not so much what they got, but what you went through to get it.

Granted, that does not apply to all women. Nothing ever applies to 'ALL' women.
