Cycle Studios/Zwift in Madison, WI??
Just wondering if anyone knows of cycle studios w/power meters, Zwift, etc. in the Madison, WI area? I'm going to be there for a week in mid-Jan. and of course won't be bringing my bike...:) Looking for something other than the "dumb" stationary bike at the gym. Thanks for the help!

Give SBR in Verona a call - not sure if they have loaners or not, but I'm sure they could point you in the right direction. They have a big studio and a number of classes.

They closed their doors this past year.

Are you just looking for a spin bike with a powermeter or are you looking for a spin class? If you are looking for a bike, you could call Princeton Club, Harbor Athletic Club, and the YMCA to see if they have bikes with power and their day pass rates.

If you are looking for an actual spin class, my wife loves Flyght and I know their bikes have power because she is always excited to tell me "how many watts she did". I think they have a couple locations. You can also check out CYC Fitness Madison and Paceline Indoor Cycling.

Speed Cycling closed.

Wisconsin Indoor Cycling which is in Verona has 1 Cycleops Hammer and 5 Cycleops Magnus... Zeus is pretty flexible so if you need a place to ride, give him a shout.

Not very related, but if you're there Saturday the 13th there's a heckuva bike swap meet at the Alliant Energy Center. Lots of nice stuff. http://www.brazendropouts.org/bike-swap/.

Really, wow. I thought they had a good thing going in the perfect community for such a thing.

Yup, closed this spring. Weather kept people outside too long last couple of years, and as they have to make money in winter got too tough to make ends meet. Was a great facility.

To the OP, I go to Harbor which does have spin classes. I did see where they were replacing the bikes with a new trial kind. I can find more info if you'd like.

Thanks for everyone's help and advice! I ended up riding tonight at Paceline Indoor Cycling. I highly recommend it to others. I went during one of their Paceline Plus work outs. Instructor was a female Cat 2 roadie. We basically had a solid hour interval workout. The Cycleops bikes had PowerTaps, so I was able to get all of my power data on my Garmin. They also had indoor changing rooms/showers. It was $15 for drop-in session, which I didn't think was that bad. As much as I love the Madison area, this bitter cold reinforced why I loved to SoCal...;)
